MEPPI’s Transportation Systems Division operates North American manufacturing and testing facilities for Propulsion, Onboard power supply systems, Communications Based Train Control (CBTC), and HVAC that are specifically designed for the North American transit industry. Job Description
Serve as lead representative on all MRS technical aftermarket and engineering requirements.
· Create and provide customer technical training as required.
· Provide initial response and ensure final closure to all customer technical requests.
· Liaise with MELCO and TSD engineering to support MRS activities and new business requirements.
· Compile and analyze operational reliability, test and failure data, and overhaul reliability charts to drive new business.
· Research, plan for, and support spare parts sales, repair, and overhaul of competitor equipment.
· Provide TSD sales with assistance during bid preparation.
· Support MRS Product Line and Operations managers in all technical matters as required.
· Assume lead role in special projects, including continuous improvement and/or new business initiatives.
· Assist and take leading action with technical field matters.
· Participate in technical negotiations with customers.
· Support MELCO/MEPPI Engineering group with testing and test data analysis, including on-car and wayside testing.
· Create and conduct training programs for field service technicians and customers.
· Coordinate the activity and logistics processes for performing field modifications.
· Advise TSD Sales of potential new business opportunities based on customer interaction and observation.
