Job Description and Requirements

Job Description

Perform customer risk assessments, analyze and project company cash flow, and support, coordinate and reconcile various areas of risk management and accounts receivable.

  • Perform credit risk analysis on new and existing customers.
  • Perform monthly account reconciliations of sub-ledgers to the general ledger.
  • Analyze and resolve account disputes and billing discrepancies.
  • Responsible for the coordination, collection and reporting of the company receivables.
  • Prepare company cash forecast for upper management.
  • Provide support for invoicing, collections, and accounts receivable.
  • Validate and maintain customer sales tax exemption certificates.
  • Prepare quarter-end bad debt review. 
  • Report, manage, and close out all third party collection claims. 
  • Gather and file mechanic liens, and other customer surety documents. 
  • Research and resolve general business system issues.
  • Report, manage, and close out all insurance claims.
  • Provide support on facility inspections, audits, and insurance policy renewals. 
  • Validate and maintain company insurance certificates, bonds, and letters of credits.
  • Further the goals and positive professional image of the Finance Department by conducting business with outside contacts, auditors, and other MEPPI departments in a timely and cooperative manner.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with a minimum of 0-2 years’ experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intermediate knowledge of project management and financial analysis. 
  • Intermediate interpersonal and communication skills required to communicate with customers and employees. 
  • Intermediate computer skills, emphasizing knowledge of MS Office products.
