Job Description and Requirements

Job Description

Provide end-user support for computer systems, peripherals, and mobile devices.

  • Provide analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of problems with workstation hardware, software, networked peripheral devices, and networked hardware and software products.
  • Collaborate with other members of the end user support team to resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Assist with software and hardware upgrades and new implementations.
  • Develop and provide user training as required.
  • Maintain and administer the corporate cellphone account providing phone upgrades and service plan changes.
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot software management systems.
  • Support, maintain, and troubleshoot all multimedia related devices such as projectors, video screens, video conferencing equipment, and intelligent whiteboards.
  • Support, maintain, upgrade, and troubleshoot all corporate CAD software packages.
  • Use the corporate helpdesk system to document and track all problems, resolutions, and end user computing assets.
  • Develop and implement automated technology solutions using available scripting tools.
  • Act as mentor for other support technicians. 
  • Further the goals and positive, professional image of the IT Department by conducting business with other MEPPI departments, consultants, suppliers, etc., in a timely and cooperative manner.

Basic Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a computer-related field with 4 years’ experience as a computer/network technician, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of PC repair, configuration, networking, MS Windows, MS Office, SCCM or similar platform and other current Company operating system platforms and applications.
  • Intermediate knowledge of network concepts including TCP/IP, Windows Networking, and Windows Security.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell and scripting.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data.

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, sit, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds frequently and up to 40 pounds occasionally.
