Job Description

Perform receiving, warehousing and shipping functions supporting manufacturing operations and inventory management. Enter information into the business system to process orders and ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Receive incoming material from trucks using forklifts and cranes and verify materials received are correctly received and entered in the business system.
  • Uncrate materials using hand and power tools.
  • Work with others to coordinate movement of materials between multiple offsite warehouses.
  • Generate Pick Lists in the business system for production jobs, service orders, and customer orders.
  • Assist with the planning and coordination of material flow through the shipping bay and warehouse.
  • Coordinate and arrange inventory storage based on the shipping and receiving schedule.
  • Performing kitting of complex products. Record and enter related serial numbers into the business system to ensure proper tracking of items.
  • Coordinate and direct truck drivers in preparation for loading.
  • Use the business system to locate and move materials and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Retrieve material from inventory to fill Pick List requirements.
  • Package equipment and/or components for shipment and load material onto trucks for shipment.
  • Confirm the Bill of Materials with items being shipped.
  • Disburse inventory items to appropriate locations or Kanban and expense items to storage locations.
  • Perform location audits, inventory cycle counting, and reconciliation of cycle counts.
  • Follow the Company’s procedures to record all transactions on paper or in the business system.
  • Perform basic arithmetic, intermediate typing and understand metric measurements.

Basic Qualifications

  • High School or GED, plus two years of warehousing experience, or equivalent education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Applicable safety/operations training required to operate certain machinery and equipment (e.g., fork truck, crane).

Minimum Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work with close supervision. 
  • Ability to safely and correctly use hand and power tools and measurement devices.
  • Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
  • Ability to operate powered equipment, such as fork truck and overhead crane.
  • Ability to stand, sit, crawl, squat, kneel, twist, bend, and reach above the shoulders as required to perform essential job functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work in normal indoor and outdoor temperatures for extended periods of time.
